Harris Quarter Regeneration - other key development projects
Aside from the Harris Quarter Towns Fund Investment Programme (2021 - 2026), other private and public sector funded investment and development projects will also be key to assisting in the transformation of the Harris Quarter and working towards achieving the aim of improving the area's cultural, leisure and city living offer - further increasing both footfall and spend in the city.
The following information gives an overview of key completed, current and future investment and development projects taking place across the Harris Quarter.
Preston Markets
- Preston Market Hall opened in early 2018
- Comprises 1200sqm of trading space within a contemporary glazed open aired enclosure
- Included the restoration of the 1875 Market Canopy
- Box Market under the Fish Market canopy plus public realm work
Bishopgate Gardens
- Flagship conversion of Red Rose and Elizabethan House into 130 luxury 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments now complete
- Features on-site café, co-working space, residents' lounge, concierge, roof gardens and on-site independent retailers
- A new step-change providing premium apartments to cater for demand for high end city centre living
